My stay at the hotel was truly memorable. The rooms offered a nice view over the grounds and the nearby river, and having a separate living area where we could put a fold-down bed for our teenage son was a big plus. It's definitely one of the best-value hotels I've stayed at, but the presence of four TV screens and at times noisy patrons could be a bit off-putting.

The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and polite. One staff member even spent his own money to retrieve train tickets for us, and another assisted in finding my wife's handbag during the night. Their kindness and competence truly made our stay special.

The hotel, though not as accessible as some others, is located in a spectacular area. The facilities and cleanliness, especially in the summer season, are top-notch. Moreover, I highly recommend trying the Osmanthus fish prepared in spicy soup at the Shang Palace - it's truly delicious.

The dining experience was very good overall, with a reasonable choice for Westerners. Although the prices leaned towards the higher side, the quality of the dishes made it worth it, especially to kick off the day right.
